Here we go a few words on the amazing success of both Strictly Buckingham and Strictly Towcester!  WOW WOW and WOW is all I can say!  Both nights were absolutely amazing, fantastic and brilliant.  We had 13 couples dancing in Strictly Buckingham and 17 dancing in Strictly Towcester.  Both nights have raised over a whopping £12,500 which is absolutely amazing and means we can run for another year.

We had local business people, local heroes and Steppers who supported the local heroes learning to dance.

The event was organised and run by the very lovely Viv Rhymes a teacher at Step By Step dance studio.  She is so organised I think she does it in her sleep!

The night was made a HUGE success by everyone involved.  Yvonne Haynes ditched her oily overalls and latex gloves for a raffle book and pen to sell a MASSIVE £1,200 of raffle tickets!!!  OMG how amazing is that.  She has now been re-named the  “Pitball of raffles” While her husband Ady and niece Charley danced their socks off in the show.

We had show dances from the awesome Lewis Harper and Alice Gregory, both who started dancing at Step By Step and Lewis is Glenda’s son.  Then we had the A M A Z I N G Nick Kelly and Cheyenne Russell, for both Buckingham and Towcester, if you’ve not seen them dance, YouTube! Trust me they make it look so easy yet we all know how bloody hard it is!!

Judges for the nights included Andrzej Mialkowski, owner, founder, Boss man basically of Step By Step dance school, his beautiful partner Jo Wititch, Martin Bird, who as being an amazing dancer has the most beautiful baby girl, Lewis Harper, Nick Kelly, Cheyenne Russell and the new manager of Towcester Leisure Centre.

I managed to keep a wee surprise up my sleeve for Strictly Towcester……. Thanks to Bob Pilkington, of Pops and Bangs fireworks, we had a fantastic firework display.  Lots of “ooooh’s and “arrrr’s” meant it was blooming marvellous, and he even ended it with a fantastic Lighthouse in fireworks!

The events were filmed by the fabidoodle Paul Odams, and photographed by the very lovely Martin Farmer.  Glen Priest designed our programmes for both events this year, thanks to being a friend he knew his design brief, PINK!!  So that was how the programme was designed.

Events like this make you realise how lucky I am as a person to have such amazing people round me who want to help and support TLC, by stepping right outside of their comfort zone, learn to dance and struct their sparkles on the dance floor!!  THANK YOU ALL!!!
